Sreemantham (Seemantham) is a traditional ceremony performed during the odd months of pregnancy (5th, 7th, or 9th) to bless the expectant mother. Often combined with Valaikappu (bangle ceremony), it invokes prayers for the well-being of the mother-to-be and the fetus.
